This hat was made in honor of Collin "Snap" Winslow. All profit proceeds will be donated to the Collin Winslow Scholarship Fund.

 

Collin Ray “Snap” Winslow, 15, of 1549 County Line Road, Belvidere, NC, died Friday, May 5, 2023 as the result of a hunting accident.

   Snap was born in Pasquotank County on April 30, 2008 and was the son of Ken and Holly Harris Winslow. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Doug Rogerson, Fleetwood and Elsie Harris, Cyril and Virginia Mae Winslow, and George and Stella Midgett.

   A ninth grade student at Perquimans County High School, he played JV Football, was the catcher on the Varsity Baseball team, and had been a member of the Perquimans Hunter Safety Team since the sixth grade. He was baptized into the membership of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and attended Bagley Swamp Wesleyan Church.

   In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Harris Winslow of the home; grandparents, Gary and Renee Harris of Elizabeth City and Kenneth Ray, Sr. and Bettye Winslow of Belvidere; great-grandmother, Lois Rogerson of Elizabeth City; uncle and aunt, Buddy and Kim Harris and their sons, Colby and Gage of Elizabeth City; aunt and uncle, Kristen and Ray Fesperman and their sons, Hunter and Chase of Hertford; and many other extended family members and friends.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 13, at 4:00 p.m. in the Perquimans County High School Gymnasium and will be conducted by Pastors Howard Sutton and James Spaugh, and family friend, Ashley Gregory. A private burial will be in the Winslow Family Cemetery near the home. Friends may visit with the family at the Nixon Athletic Complex on the school grounds immediately following the service, and other times at the residence.

   In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Perquimans County Schools Foundation, P.O. Box 337, Hertford, NC, 27944. On the memo line please designate donations in memory of Collin Winslow.
